Privacy Notice

This notice explains Golden Data Law, Prof Corp (‘we,’ ‘our,’ or ‘ours’) practices with respect to any personal information we collect through www.goldendatlaw.com (our “Site”) or otherwise. 

We may update this notice from time to time in which case we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post a link to the updated notice on our Site. Of course, we will not make material retroactive changes without first obtaining your consent as required by law.

Personal information collected through our Site

  1. Contact Us Page: Our contact us page allows you to submit a request for us to contact you by providing your email and general information about the legal services you are seeking. If you choose to submit a request, we will use the information to reach out to you and start a conversation as to how we may assist you. 

  2. Other: The Site that you are visiting was created using pre-built website templates from Squarespace and it is being hosted by that same company. We have taken all the steps made available by Squarespace to avoid collecting personal information about Site’s visitors which are (i) disabling the Site activity log; and (ii) turning-off Squarespace Analytics cookies. We have not placed any trackers on the site nor have we connected the site to third party providers that enable analytics or tracking (e.g. Google Analytics.) Therefore, the Site should not be tracking your visits or automatically collecting any personal information from visitors and there is no need for us to respond to do not track signals. However, we do not control and make no representation about Squarespace’s data practices related to its hosting of the Site, which you can learn more about by reviewing Squarespace’s privacy notice.

  3. Client portals: Golden Data Law’s client portals are powered by the My Case law practice management software.

Other personal information

We are not required to provide disclosures in this notice under the privacy laws that apply to us with regards to other personal information we collect (e.g. information about clients, prospective clients, job applicants, points of contact for suppliers of goods and services, etc.)  

However, we would like to provide the following assurances to you:

  1. We abide by the attorney rules of professional conduct. We handle data obtained through the provision of our services in accordance with the rules and statutes on attorney conduct that apply to us, which include the Rules of Professional Conduct of the  California Bar Association. Rule 3-100 on Confidential Information of a Client which generally prohibits us from revealing confidential information of a client without client’s consent.

  2. We don’t sell your data. We do not sell personal information.

  3. We don’ track you: We do we engage in behavioral advertising and we have taken all steps made available by our website hosting services provider to disable their trackers.  

Your rights

Although we are not required to provide individuals with a right to access, correct, or erase their data under applicable privacy laws, if you have a request kindly submit it through our contact us form and we will take reasonable steps to comply.
