This notice explains the practices of Golden Data Law, Professional Benefit Corporation (‘we,’ ‘our,’ or ‘ours’) with respect to any personal information collected via www.goldendatalaw.com (our “Site”) or otherwise.
We may update this notice from time to time in which case we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post a link to the updated notice on our Site. Of course, we will not make material retroactive changes without first obtaining your consent as required by law.
Personal Information Collected via Our Site
Connect With Us Page: Our contact page allows you to submit a request for us to contact you by providing your email and general information about the legal services you are seeking. If you choose to submit a request, we will use the information to reach out to you and start a conversation on how we may best assist you.
Other: The Site that you are visiting was created using website templates from Squarespace and is being hosted by that same company. We have taken all the steps made available by Squarespace to avoid collecting any personal information about Site visitors which include (i) disabling the Site activity log and (ii) turning off Squarespace Analytics cookies. We have not placed any trackers on the site, nor have we connected the site to third party providers that enable analytics or tracking, e.g., Google Analytics. Therefore, the Site should not be tracking your visits or automatically collecting any personal information so there is no need for us to respond to do not track signals. However, we do not control nor make any representation about Squarespace’s data practices related to its hosting of the Site, which you can learn more about by reviewing Squarespace’s Privacy Policy.
Client Portal: Golden Data Law’s secure client portals are hosted by My Case, GDL’s legal case management software.
Other Personal Information
Under the applicable privacy laws, we are not required to provide disclosures in regard to any other personal information we may collect, including but not limited to information about clients, prospective clients, job applicants, or suppliers of goods and services.
However, we provide the following assurances:
We abide by the rules of professional conduct. We handle data obtained through the provision of our services in accordance with the rules and statutes on attorney conduct that apply to us, which include the Rules of Professional Conduct of the California Bar Association. Rule 3-100 on Confidential Information of a Client prohibits us from revealing confidential information of a client without first obtaining that clients consent.
We don’t sell your data. We do not sell personal information.
We don’t track you. We do not engage in behavioral advertising and we have taken all steps available to us via Squarespace to disable Site trackers.
Your Rights
Although we are not required to provide individuals with a right to access, correct, or erase their data under applicable privacy laws, if you have a request please submit it through the web form displayed on the Connect with Us page and we will take reasonable steps to comply with your request.
